Our 48 hours of being throw up free officially ended this morning at 4:00 when Ben came into our room saying his stomach hurt and the immediately threw up all over our rug in the bedroom. I glanced at the large mess and was so tired trying to figure out how I was going to clean this up when Dusty began lifting up the bed to get the rug out and he took it outside to spray it down with the hose and soap. He is the one that always cleans up the throw up (if he's home) and I just get the kids cleaned up. After getting everything cleaned up and Ben laying with a bowl we told him he would get $5.00 every time he made it to the toilet. Not long after I heard him throwing up again and right away he asked where his money was. So far I think we owe him 20 bucks and it's well worth it.
So not all of my life has been consumed by sick kids............ I got to have 2 girls nights in one week! The first one was with such a fun group of friends that all live by me . We all met up for dinner and then they came to my house for some Chocolate Fondue and relaxing. It is so nice to have fun friends and great husbands that rearrange their elders quorum meetings around our girls nights. I already have a fun idea for next months party........Dawn sorry you are not in this pic I just realized you are taking it but this was my fav. Next time I'll post an individual one of you.

Sat. morning after dropping Emma and Ben off at my moms and meeting at the wrestling tournament I went with Dusty's mom and sister to lunch, shopping and then met up with his two other sis. for a girls night of shopping at the chandler mall. It was such a fun day to have a break from kids and to be our having fun with my other sisters. I realize how lucky I am that I love to hang out with my sis-in laws and a girls day with them needs to happen more often. Getting out of my normal routine and getting a break from my kids just makes me a better mom and wife(not that I need improvement). I think my husband realized this early on and has always encouraged me to "take as long as I want" and never made me feel guilty about leaving which is good because I really never do feel bad about the fact that I need a break. All moms should have these times. So amidst the throw up I am glad I have good times to look back on. Until next month:)

My boys
I realize that I have been really lame with blogging lately and cannot promise to be any better.
We are now an infection free house and can now resume normal life.
Ben had a nice week of being sick before he was diagnosed with double ear infections and possibly something with his throat, but the doctor was never able to look because Ben refused to open his mouth.
The week Ben was better Emma began throwing up randomly and then acting completely fine, running and jumping and acting completely normal except that she would all of the sudden throw up. The best being when her and I were at Bajio's getting a drink and she decided to throw up repeatedly all over my white shirt and completely drenching hers. She left shirtless and I left covered in throw up of course running into a friend as we were walking out. Sunday she slept in until 1:00 p.m.! and then slept off and on the rest of the day, waking up the next morning completely fine. We have been throw up free for 48 hours.

We did make it to the Grand Canyon State Games on Sat. morning for Hunters Wrestling tournament and he did so good! There is one kid that he always gets hurt by and cries and usually quits against but this time he did cry but just got mad and kept wrestling and did a great job against him. He ended up getting 2nd place and we were just proud that he continued the match even though he wanted to quit. There is 1 more tournament left and then we may just get something done on Saturdays.

Just a little bit of our girl
You will probably wish you had a sis in law like mine after seeing these pics.
When I was dating my hubby all three of his older sis were moved out so I
really didn't know any of them until after we had been married a while.
Actually I probably knew Cindy the best but was a little scared to
meet the "volleyball player one". This is funny to me when I look back because
Lisa is really anything but scary and I have never actually seen her play
volleyball so I'm not totally convinced she can even play. Back to the point....
All of his sisters have serious talents but the one I like to call upon the most is Cindy's
and she is always so nice about it and acts like she almost enjoys it. When I knew
we were spending conference Sunday together I mentioned that she could
bring her backdrop that I love just in case we were bored. Of course she did
and spent about an hour working with a very grouchy girl that likes to give dirty looks to the lens.
Luckily I even think those looks are cute. Thank you Cindy for spending your time
on these and for always getting such cute pics. Anyone that needs a great photographer take a look
at her websites. Her blog is http://www.lilypstudio.typepad.com/ and her business site is http://www.lilypstudio.com/
Now I just have to find some cute frames for these.
Just as a side note...these were for her 2 year old pics. We love our boys too!

Date night
Is it bad that I wanted to take my 7 year old to the game instead of my husband??
Friday afternoon my mom called saying that my grandpa had 2 tickets for the Suns game that I could have
but they have to be picked up within the hour
at his store
that is 40 minutes away
and it's traffic hour.
My first thought is I'm definitely taking Hunter.
I call my hubby and tell him about the tickets and he says "oh that sounds really fun, I've been wanting to go on a date".
So i have to gently break it to him that there is really not enough time for him to get home in time to go and that maybe he could have a fun night with the two younger ones.
Being the seriously nice husband he is was fine with that and went and picked up the kids from our friends house and took them out for dinner and stayed home with them while I went out on a date with someone else.
It's really just that Hunter and I both love watching the games together and Hunter prefers his Dad to me the majority of the time so this is our thing . We were on the fifth row and loved every minute. The only scary part of the night was walking back to the car . I refused to pay the $20.00 parking that was everywhere and opted to just walk a couple extra blocks for free parking. After staying to shoot free throws we were walking back to our ghetto parking space alone and noticed four guys sitting on the wall right next to our car looking a little scary. I"m sure they were nice harmless guys but when it's just me and my 7 year old it made me a little nervous. Basically we both ran the last block and jumped in through the drivers side and got out of that neighborhood. It was at that point that I really missed having an older bigger date.

It used to be that I would look forward to weekends to relax during hectic weeks but lately weekend just leave me looking forward to getting back to my schedule. Not that our weekend was not fun it was just busy with fun things. Hunter did get 3rd this wrestling tournament and came home and took a 3 hour nap. He was so tired from staying out late at the game and had to get up early for the tournament and he cried about ten times in between matches. Only once saying he was done wrestling forever. I love overly tired kids!
