There is something about cooking something hot when it's sooo hot outside that just doesn't appeal to me.
A friend asked me what I was making for dinner last night and I said fruit dip and cut up fruit
and I was so serious because really that sounded nice and refreshing.
Okay so we did end up with some teriaky chicken and rice but I did not have to cook it.
Everyday this week has revolved around going to water world or swimming at a friends pool.
The water world passes have been so nice to have and we are there at least 3 times a week.
Girls Camp was sooo much fun and just a little tiring.
For some reason I thought I would get to sleep more than I do at home
but I was way off. We stayed up late talking and planning pranks and got up to be at flag at 7.
The girls and the leaders were kept busy and all the girls really seemed to be having a good time.
When I went to girls camp it was never over the weekend so I was looking forward to see what Sunday would bring.
I loved having sacrament out in the trees listening to the trees and seeing animals. It was amazing to be around all these amazing girls and woman and have the stake presidency up there teaching us. At our wards bishop time after there was such a strong spirit there listening to the bishop and the testimonies. Being at girls camp away from the world was a reminder to me to live more simply and just worry about the important things in life and spending time with the important people in your life. It's nice to have that reminder again.
I had a couple people ask me if I missed my kids while I was there and yes I know this sounds bad but
I was really fine being away from them knowing that they were in great hands and being taken care of and also
I kind would forget that I had kids.....this may sound strange but I was just involved in what I was doing up there and
it felt really nice to be just one of the girls and have a good time not worrying about kids. well not my own at least.

Back to Girls Camp
I'm leaving my little ones for a little vacation to Girls Camp !!
Growing up we actually camped in tents for girls camp and went without showers.
Our ward goes to Camp LoMia so I will be staying in a cabin and have a nice shower each day.
My parents both thought it was funny when I was called to go to camp because I tended to get bored with camp activities and rules and liked to make it hard on my leaders. I really liked going to girls camp and made close friends there but I also enjoyed pranks and basically just doing whatever I wanted whether my leaders wanted me to or not.
So now it's fun to be able to go as a leader although I am a Stake Craft Leader so I won't be in charge of girls all the time and I am in the stake cabin with all fun people. 5 days of having someone else cook for me and having a fun time hanging out with great leaders and girls seems like a nice little vacation to me. Luckily I have my mom and my mother in law who
are always willing to keep my kids for a few nights.

This is probably Emma's friend that she talks about the most. She wakes up in the morning calling for Bella in hopes that one day Bella may actually appear. The fact that she lives 20 minutes away at grandmas house hasn't quite registered yet. She likes to call her up and have her howl into the phone and tries to have a conversation with her that also includes her howling. She LOVES dogs and since her Dad will probably never let her have one Bella is the lucky dog that gets all of Emma's affection. Bella pretty much hates it most of the time but puts up with it because she also gets most of Emma's meals when shes around. Grandma and Grandpa came over one morning so Emma could take Bella on a walk and she loved it.
