We went out to Maricopa for a big family birthday party/Easter egg hunt on Sat. and played all day long.
Emma and Ben are fine with me taking pics of them but every time Hunter notices the camera on him he has to make these weird faces so really, it's just hard to get pics of him. I have nothing to type so all you get are the photos.

Let the terrible twos begin!
Emma Grace Liljenquist 2 years ago......
I do not keep any sort of journal and I am planning on
turning this blog of mine into a book soon this is where I
am writing things I want my kids to remember. So now
you have to endure yet another post about my baby girl.
Because I apparently have none of that motherly intuition stuff when I am pregnant, during both of my boys pregnancies I was pretty sure they were girls. I even had dreams about my baby girl only to find out at both ultrasounds that I was in fact having a boy. I was happy to have boys both times but for some reason I thought that I would be one that would have a whole family of boys and I wasn't exactly okay with it. Third pregnancy I just planned for a boy and thought it would truly be a miracle to get a girl. Also most of my friends have all boys and little girls seem rare in my life. When the ultrasound tech started to look and then proceeded to say she didn't see anything and this looked like a little lady I really wanted to be her best friend. I was so shocked and happy and felt that for some reason my life was now complete. Weird I know but for some reason having a daughter just seemed to complete my life.
When they pulled her out of my stomach I was so anxious to see how big she was and was so happy to have a baby in the 7lb range. She was tiny(to me) and perfect. I had a much harder recover with the 3rd c-section which turned out to be nice because I really just held her for a couple weeks straight at least. I of course think she was the cutest baby and the only time I ever want to have another baby is when I am looking back at pics of her as a newborn but that feeling quickly leaves when I remember that she still gets up during the night. ( she used to be trained but now she only sleeps in her bed for a whole 2 -3 hours before crying to come into our bed) Yes, having a girl means that I get to buy all the cute clothes that I have looked out for so long(seriously, ever since elementary school I have looked forward to dressing my kids cute, another weird thing i know) but I just love that I have that special bond with her and that we can go do our own fun stuff when we are tired of hanging out with the boys.
She is a very loved little girl that our family has so much fun with. I really want all my kids to be treated equal and don't ever want her brothers to resent her for getting treated like the baby of the family and am always telling the boys not to let her do things like walk over to their snack and take it from them to eat herself or basically just do whatever she wants to them and boss them around. But..... my boys really are too nice to her and let her get away with it all. These last two years have gone by quickly and I can honestly say that I have loved pretty much all that comes along with having my girl. For some reason fits are even easier to deal with when they are in a cute dress and pigtails. Don't ask me why. I just have to laugh at her cute crying. I can't wait to see her personality as she gets older. Happy Birthday to my baby girl!

Flashwayback
only had boys and people would always make
comments about how they looked nothing like
me and if we ever got a girl she would probably
look like me. It's nice to be able to see that you
had something to do with your children's looks
besides just choosing their clothes. So I found
this pic of me and one of Emms. I can see the
resemblance......i should have gotten a better
pic of her posed more like mine.

We miss Zack !
It was kind of sad knowing they will not get to be friends growing up but I'm glad they can still make each other laugh and I got some funny pics from it. Their conversation mainly consisted of Zack saying he had to hang up and Ben yelling that he couldn't hang up up yet but it really did make Ben's day. I'm glad that I am seeing cute pics of him because he has been having one of his days that make me so glad to put him to bed. Poor kid just really knows how to push his parents to sending him to bed early.

How did you meet your spouse? Well this is pretty romantic soooo drum roll please..................SEMINARY junior year he came and sat in back of me, unfortunately I switched out of that class shortly after but we still ended up together!
Where did you go on your first date? this is seriously kind of hard to remember but our first official date was to a movie and probably taco bell .
How long have you been together? Let's see we dated for a year and a half before we got married so we have been together for over 9 years.
Who eats more? definitely him unless it's something chocolate.
Who said I love you first? He did although I can't remember when or where( I will have to ask him later on)
Who is taller? He is 6ft and i am 5'4
Who sings better? Just to make it clear neither of us are singers but if i had to choose which apparently i do, it would probably be me but he does have a good voice
Who is smarter? Sooo I always thought I was smarter. I'm not sure why I thought this because after being married to him for this long I can't figure out why I thought I was smarter. He can always figure out anything and is very good at explaining and teaching things. So the answer is HIM.
Who does the laundry? Luckily I do or I don't think it would ever get done but I just have a hard time getting it all the way put away. I don't like laundry. We occasionally have our "laundry parties" when we all fold laundry in front of a movie.
Who does the dishes? Again for the most part I do but he will help out especially when we have a party.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do.
Who pays the bills? Once again me.
Who mows the lawn? He does until the boys get strong enough to do it. I still have yet to mow the yard and I don't have any plans to do it.
Who cooks dinner? I do although the boys have had a hard time with me always being the boss lately and "getting to decide what we eat and when we brush our teeth and when to take showers" so they now have a boys night where they get to decide and cook and cleanup the meal once a week. I told them it's fine but it needs to be a real meal.
They all had cereal.
and they loved it.
Who drives when you are together? We take turns. Although on long trips I usually drive most of the way because I get car sick turning around and would rather drive than take care of the kids.
Who is more stubborn? He would probably say me but I say both on different issues.
Who is the first to admit when they're wrong? Probably him but only because that happens more often. No we both are pretty good about admitting that we are wrong.
Whose parents do you see the most? Depends on the week but probably mine. But is really is pretty equal.
Who kissed who first? He kissed me. In my old Neon. A very quick surprising one.
Who Proposed? This was him again and I'm not going to tell the whole romantic story. Although I will tell you that I didn't say yes right away.
Who is more sensitive? Well it is definitely him. He hates it but I love that I can always tell which parts in a movie he will tear up at and just pat his leg until he we both start laughing at how easily he cries. Those who know me know that I don't really cry all that much. I used to tell people that I had defective tear glands but I'm just not a huge crier and i don't really like to. I do tear up easily talking about my kids but that's about it. Luckily my kids have a sensitive dad for their hard times.
Who has more friends? probably me but that's just because he always gets along with my friends and their husbands and I don't always like hanging out with his friends. He does have a lot of cyber friends though.
Who has more siblings? He does.
7 for his.
6 for mine.
Who wears the pants in the family? I do, Because his don't fit anymore!!!! (this was his answer that he typed in while I left the computer) We both take turns wearing them. I just happen to wear them a little bit more.
So now I tag ..................lets see who hasn't done this one. Well Mauri and Natalie still haven't............Lisa, Cindy, Jenna, Christen, Heather H, i don't really know who has done this but it is kind of fun to try and remember these things. Have fun and you all better do it.
