Our little girl.

While riding in a bike trailer together yesterday, Emma and Hadyn were comparing tummy's and of course discussing the babies that they each had in their tummy. This is not that uncommon of a conversation. They have gone as far as pretending to be pregnant cheerleaders. So last night after this pregnant filled day, Emma brought in a roll of paper towels and sat down on the bed by her dad and then ripped one off and started wiping at her chest telling him how she was " cleaning off all the milk off her chest cause her baby made a mess and she needed to clean her chest".  Dusty looked at me with big eyes, not understanding her at all.
I think he was just too proud to speak at the moment.
I think he also so proud of her when she insists on only being called Sharpe from HSM and belting at the songs as she walks around the house.
We have a very confident, busy, bossy and sometimes sweet little girl living here.

The story of why the tooth fairy paid 10 bucks...........

After finishing reading to the boys one night Dusty was bent over tucking Hunter in when Ben jumped on his back. When Dusty stood up however, Ben slid down his back catching his front tooth on the back of his belt and popped out his tooth.
It was a tiny bit loose but no where near ready to come out and you could tell by how much of the root was still connected to the tooth.  He cried pretty hard for a while and fell asleep with ice on his tooth.  We'll see if he learned his lesson.

How Emma turned from a girl to a boy in a couple days

First, while I was gone at basketball one night and and her Dad thought she was sleeping,
she cut both sides of her hair right in the front.
It was no small amount either.

I tried for a couple of days to see if I could live with it and if would be covered by her other hair....
but in the end I had to get it cut short again.

To most people this would not be a big deal but I have been trying to grow out her hair since she was in the womb.
Before she was born I had definite ideas of how I  wanted her hair  to look.  From day one she has had her natural side part and I knew there would be no bangs in her future along with no piggies sticking out on top of her head.  I had finally gotten it long enough which took 3 years because she has cut it 3 other times starting at 18 months. There is something wrong with that!

Soo now I have a little girl that looks like a boy.

I have one of those...

The kid that as you are walking through the grocery store points out how everyone is a grandma and how
they all have babies in their tummy's.
As we are checking out in costco she has to loudly point out how big the man in front of us is and repeatedly saying to her brother
" Hunter you see that guy he is big, yeah he is really big".
The poor guy unfortunately heard and I tried to make eye contact with him as I distracted her with promises of pizza.

Then as we're eating pizza she notices the lady sitting  a couple tables down and of course has to comment how " her skin is very black and mommy why did she paint her face black"?
I'm pretty sure the lady heard this one too........

So the kids all started school a couple weeks ago and heres the proof. The proof is needed because they have both already missed two days of school and Ben came pretty close to missing again this morning. He can't seem to get rid of the croupy cough. Emmas school was at our lucky house this week and it once again reminded me how I am not cut out to teach preschool.

Sadly they are not wearing uniforms to school this year......
