How Emma turned from a girl to a boy in a couple days

First, while I was gone at basketball one night and and her Dad thought she was sleeping,
she cut both sides of her hair right in the front.
It was no small amount either.

I tried for a couple of days to see if I could live with it and if would be covered by her other hair....
but in the end I had to get it cut short again.

To most people this would not be a big deal but I have been trying to grow out her hair since she was in the womb.
Before she was born I had definite ideas of how I  wanted her hair  to look.  From day one she has had her natural side part and I knew there would be no bangs in her future along with no piggies sticking out on top of her head.  I had finally gotten it long enough which took 3 years because she has cut it 3 other times starting at 18 months. There is something wrong with that!

Soo now I have a little girl that looks like a boy.

What a bad bad girl. I was sad when I saw her hair last week. It is really short and it was sooo long. Good thing she is gorgeous. When Luke saw her they had a big long hug, then she locked him in a room.

Julia....Emma looks nothing like a boy! SHe could look cute even if she was bald. And I'll probably be able to prove that to you the next time she cuts her hair. In the mean time, maybe you should stop with the bathroom cleaning and start with cleaning up the arts and crafts tools, namely the scissors.....just an idea.

SHE DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A BOY!!! I think her haircut is cute! Also you may want to consider Tara's advice about the whole cleaning out your house of scissors :)

Oh no! She is still so cute though. I love the look on her face in the picture of her getting it cut.

She looks nothing like a boy! She's adorable. Maybe SHE doesn't want long hair. She does like to be in charge, in case you haven't noticed.

I think Emma is gorgeous no matter what! ...Expect maybe when she makes me do aerobics.

I love her hair cut. She tried to cut her Grandpa's hair last week. He was on the ground doing a repair and he looks up to see Emma with a pair of scissors aiming for his hair. I cant wait until she cuts Ava's hair.

Oh darn! Her hair was getting so long! Stinker. She is a beautiful stinker though! I bet her new cut is cute. You've got great taste in everything...even little girl haircuts.

I know this is tragic...but I have seen way worse 'kid cuts'. one of simi's friends just cut her own bangs to the scalp!!! I would have died and her mom was so chill about it and just covers it up with big head bands. wow. Glad Emmas was NOT like that.

If any boy walked around with her new hair cut-- they would look like a girl!!! She looks adorable with short hair... I did my best with what she did to her hair and under the circumstances of her crying her eyes out! I must say--it turned out pretty good for what I had to work with! ha ha :)

She is a doll! :)
